Palm game rules.
Last updated · Oasis Web Services
Tap the palm tree on our home page and you could win a discount, a free SEO audit or even a free website. It’s free to play and you don’t need to buy anything. These terms explain how it works. By playing, you agree to them.
1. Who runs the game
The game is run by Oasis Web Services, a web design business run by a sole trader in London. Contact us about it at Sam.jones@oasiswebservices.co.uk or on 07736 451 781.
2. Who can play
Anyone aged 18 or over in the UK can play. Prizes are for a business or person who could use our services. Clients with an active account in our client portal also have their own clients’ draw.
3. How it works
Each tap of the palm is one go. Our server picks the result at random when you tap, using the chances below, so nothing on the page can change it. Each internet connection gets 1 go every 7 days.
Each prize has a limit on how many can be won in a month (or a quarter for the free website). Once a prize’s limit is reached, it can’t be won again until the next month or quarter starts, and a result that would have been that prize shows as “Better luck next time” instead. That means the real chance of winning a prize can be lower than shown.
4. Prizes and chances
New visitors:
- Free SEO audit: 15% chance, up to 10 a month
- 1 month free hosting: 10% chance, up to 5 a month
- 10% off a website or app build: 10% chance, up to 5 a month
- 20% off a website or app build: 5% chance, up to 3 a month
- 30% off a website or app build: 2% chance, up to 2 a month
- 40% off a website or app build: 1% chance, up to 1 a month
- A free website build: 1% chance, up to 1 a quarter
- Better luck next time: 56% chance
Clients’ draw (active clients only):
- Free SEO audit: 25% chance, up to 10 a month
- 10% off your next add-on: 15% chance, up to 3 a month
- 1 month free maintenance: 10% chance, up to 1 a month
- Better luck next time: 50% chance
Free SEO audits are shared between both draws, up to 10 a month in total. Months and quarters run on UK time.
5. Claiming your prize
If you win, enter your email within 20 minutes and we’ll email you a unique code. If you don’t claim it in time, the prize goes back in the pot. In the clients’ draw, the code goes straight to the email you entered.
There is one prize per person, and per email address, ever. The clients’ draw is one go per client email. We may cancel prizes claimed with fake or throwaway email addresses, several email addresses for the same person or business, or automated tools.
6. Using your code
To use your code, reply to your prize email or get in touch and quote it before it expires, 30 days after it was sent. Each code can be used once, only by the person or business it was sent to, and can’t be swapped for cash, transferred or combined with another code.
- Discounts on a build come off the build price of a new website or web app. They don’t apply to hosting, domains, maintenance plans or third-party costs.
- A free website build covers our Starter package (worth £1,100), or takes £1,100 off a bigger package.
- 1 month free hosting covers one month of hosting for a site we build or host for you.
- A free SEO audit covers one audit of one website.
- Client prizes apply to an active client account: one month of the maintenance plan, or 10% off the price of your next add-on.
Projects that use a prize are otherwise on our usual terms of service, including the deposit. If a project doesn’t go ahead, the prize can’t be moved to another one.
7. Changing or ending the game
We may change the prizes, chances or limits, pause the game, or end it at any time. Any code we have already sent stays valid until its expiry date. If something goes wrong, such as a technical fault that shows the wrong result, we may cancel the affected prizes.
8. Your data
We use your email to send your code, check it when you use it, and make sure each person only wins once. We only send you offers if you tick the box to ask for them. Full details, including how long we keep it, are in our privacy policy.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
